Executive Committee Members:

Jacqueline Kronk

Jacqueline serves as Director of Development & Public Relations at the Center for the Homeless. She left her career in sports broadcasting after having a transformative experience working at an orphanage in Chile. Since coming to the Center three years ago, Jacqueline has run the Resilience teen program and worked on the Development team before being asked to take over the department last June. Her passion for the mission of the Center drives her work and she is quite thrilled to take fundraising in a new and exciting direction with this event.

Whitney Nickle

Whitney is the Events Coordinator at the Center for the Homeless. She graduated in May from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs. Whitney was raised in South Bend in a family where "giving back" was expected. It was not thought of as a duty, but considered a joy to see the difference one person was able to make in a community by getting involved. Starting at a very young age, she was fortunate enough to have numerous opportunities to help less fortunate individuals in the community. Last summer Whitney had the benefit of a unique opportunity as a development intern at LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. in South Bend, Indiana.

Whitney is very excited to be part of the staff at the Center in the effort to give the Center's guests the hope and tools needed to break the cycle of homelessness.

Anne McGraw

IU South Bend Director of Development, Anne McGraw, is delighted by the partnership between the IU South Bend Student Government Association and the Center for the Homeless. “It is the perfect marriage of a student service project and the opportunity to raise awareness and dollars for CFH. The concept is fresh and new to the area.” A longtime supporter of CFH, Anne feels that this is an ideal occasion to showcase issues and solutions related to homelessness on a local level. Anne is confident that the combination of great music and dancing will result in a high-energy, successful event. She invites you to join the fun as a dancer, volunteer, or spirited supporter in the first annual Dance for the Homeless.

Ivan D. Blount

Ivan is a senior at Purdue University of Technology at South Bend. Ivan also serves as the President of Indiana University of South Bend Student Government Association 2007-2008. He is excited and honored to be apart of an event that he feels will continue to grow and exemplifies how people in the community can and should reach out to other less fortunate. We are all connected in this life, look around sometimes and you’ll see how much it matters to lend a hand. One step at a time we will work towards ending homelessness, so one person at a time we will shelter, educate, and guide back into our community as a contributing member of society.

Aleah Wilburn

Aleah is a Junior Nursing student at Indiana University South Bend, where she also serves as a Senator in the Student Government Association. Aleah has great passion and enthusiasm for helping others in the community and takes great joy in being a part of charity events. She has been involved for the past 8 years with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Event in Mishawaka, IN, and takes active roles in many other local charities. Aleah has focused her energy on making the Michiana Dance Marathon a great success and is fully dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness, one step at a time. She challenges you to do the same.

Teresa Santos

Currently serving as secretary of IU South Bend Student Government Association, Teresa Santos is a fourth-year senior majoring in Fine Arts. An active participant in student life, Santos has served as a member and senior officer of numerous campus clubs and organizations, and is the founding President of the IUSB Visual Arts League raising scholarship funds for IUSB’s Visual Art Students. Santos holds advisory positions on several campus administrative committees and was recently nominated by the IU Board of Trustees in as one of ten finalists recommended to Governor Mitch Daniels for the Student Trustee position.
